On September 4, 2025, the Normandy High School Lady Invaders varsity volleyball team earned a significant victory against the previously undefeated North Olmsted Eagles. The match, which took place at the Normandy Dome, saw the Lady Invaders overcome a challenging start to win with a final score of 25-22 in the pivotal fourth set.

The competition kicked off with the Lady Invaders on the back foot as they dropped the first set 18-25. However, the team rallied back robustly, claiming the second set with a score of 25-22. The third set witnessed continued dominance by the Lady Invaders as they won 25-19, setting the stage for a dramatic fourth set, where they secured their victory with another 25-22 win.

Notable performances included sisters Anais and Ariana Valentin Rivera, who each contributed 11 kills, leading their team in scoring. Ariana also added key aces to the match, totaling three. Additionally, Morgan Seeley and Karolina Kciuk were instrumental, registering significant blocks. Defensive plays were well-supported by Jessica Chuba, Maddie Kirk, and Anais Valentin Rivera, who all performed crucial digs throughout the match. The assists were skillfully distributed between Taylor Shaw and Adriana Shelley.

This victory improves the Lady Invaders’ seasonal record to 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the conference. The team is set to face Berea Midpark on September 6, 2025, at Berea Midpark, as they aim to build on this win.
