The Normandy Swim Team competed at the Jim Stacey Winter Championships on Saturday and they showed up and showed OUT!!! Wow what a meet.  In total we had 44 Personal Best times and nearly everyone had their best times of the season.  The Normandy Swimmers also dropped a total of  137 seconds off of their season best times.  Truly an amazing performance.  All the hard work is paying off and the RESULTS speak for themselves. A Flight Results –  We had a total of 4 swimmers who competed in the A flight.  Freshman Blake Colwell had a DAY!!! He had PR’s in the 50 back, 50 free, 200 IM, and 100 Back.  Blake led off the 200 Medley Relay that ended up in 4th place and also the 200 Free relay that ended up in 8th place.  He made the A final in the 200 IM finishing in 8th place and the A final in the 100 Back finishing in 8th place.  In total he dropped 3.20 seconds in his 200 IM and 1.51 seconds in the 100 Back.  Senior Team Captain Alex Birsan swam the fly leg in the 4th place Medley Relay and went 3rd in the 200 Free relay that placed 8th.  He made the C final in the 100 Fly where he finally broke the one minute barrier resulting in a new PR with a 1.58 second drop.  He also had a PR in the 100 Breast in the B final where he placed 15th.  Senior Team Captain Nate Dusek swam the anchor leg of the 200 Medley and the 200 Free relays and also competed in the 50 and 100 Free.  Nate had some of his best times of the year and really brought home those relays.  Senior Team Captain Alex Cucu WON the A flight 100 Breaststroke time of 55.2 which is a new school record.  He also finished 4th in the 50 Free and had amazing splits in both relays.  In all these 4 boys finished in 9th place out of 27 teams from Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  Congrats to all!!! The B flight results. Leading the way in the B flight was Casey Lontoc who WON the B flight in the 100 Breast with her best time of the season dropping 7.64 seconds and she also placed 8th in the 100 Fly with a new PR and time drop of .53 seconds.  JD Rodriguez had a PR in the 100 Breast dropping 6.85 seconds and also dropped 2.78 seconds in his 50 Free.  Angela Martinez had her best times of the year in the 50 and 100 with time drops of 1.09 seconds in the 50 and 4.97 seconds in the 100 Free.  Anthony Martin had drops of 1.5 seconds and 7.42 seconds in the 50 and 100 Free.  Adam Lozitsky dropped 10.81 seconds in the 100 back and 1.75 seconds in the 50 Free.  Erik Muzychuck dropped 10.67 seconds in the 100 Free and 2.02 seconds in the 50 Free. Nazarri Tsvihun dropped 4.11 seconds in the 100 fly and had a PR in the 50 Free by .55 seconds.  Evan Murphy dropped 3.68 seconds in the 100 Free and 2.11 seconds in the 50 Free.  Jojo Kimak dropped 9.25 seconds in the 100 Free and 3.71 seconds in the 50 Free.  Kaelynn Relik dropped 2.56 seconds in the 50 Free and 9.25 seconds in the 100 Free.  Ashley Higginbotham dropped 2.90 seconds in her 100 Free and .54 seconds in the 50 Free.   Paige Dorvinen dropped 1.18 seconds in the 100 Free for a new PR.  Matt Millard dropped 2.32 seconds in his 100 Free for a new PR.   Viv Anselmo dropped 3.83 seconds in her 100 Back for a new PR.  Eli Boose dropped 1.36 seconds in the 50 Free for a new PR.  Marissa Menne dropped 1.08 seconds in her 50 Free for a new PR.   Xander Pollock dropped .51 in his 100 Free.  Wes Hollis was just off his best 100 Breast time of the season by .22.  Finn Hollis also just missed a PR in the 50 Free by .76.  Kyle Wells competed in the 200 Free placing 12th and the 500 Free placing 12th.  Alyssa Kancler also swam in the 200 and 500 Free placing 11th and 15th and she also had a BLAZIN 50 Free split in the 200 Free relay.   Jacob Millard competed in the 200 Free  finishing in 11th place and was the highest placing Normandy finisher in the 100 Free placing 20th.  All of the B flight relays dropped time and had their best races of the season.
