Grapplers Takedown North Olmsted 48-34
> The boys wrestling team traveled to North Olmsted and came away with a 48–34 conference victory. The win moves the Invaders to 3–0 in conference action. Big pins fueled the night, with falls from sophomore Travis Casper at 132 pounds, freshman Jaden Dowell at 157 pounds, and senior James Moore at 215 pounds. Lady Invaders Fight Hard - Fall To Bay 64-61
> On Saturday, the girls basketball team fell 64–61 in overtime to Bay Village, but the night still featured a standout performance from Ziley Minich. Minich set a new school record with 12 assists, consistently creating scoring opportunities for her teammates throughout the game.The loss moves the girls to 9–6 on the season, and they will look to respond quickly as they travel across town tomorrow night to take on the Patriots of Valley Forge. Competing against 34 teams, the Invaders jammed up the competition and captured the team championship for the second year in a row with a strong, balanced effort across the lineup. The Normandy Lady Invaders enter the 2025-2026 season looking to build on last year’s 16-8 record which included a district finals appearance. With a mix of veteran leadership and emerging young talent, the team is poised for another competitive year in Cleveland West Conference play.Leading the way is junior Ziley Minich, who returns after averaging 15.1 ppg, 4.2 apg, and 4.0 rpg last season. Known for her scoring and play making, Ziley will play a major role in driving the team’s success.Supporting the backcourt/frontcourt is junior Lindsay Mariwether returning after averaging 9 ppg, and 5 rpg.
