The Invader Swimming and Diving teams competed in the GLC Championships on Thursday and Saturday and they turned in some truly impressive performances. The Boys ended up in 3rd place overall with 252 points and the girls placed 6th with 70 points. The boys were led by Senior Alex Cucu who won the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke setting new meet records in the process and he was also part of the winning 200 Medley and 200 Freestyle relays. The 200 Medley relay of Blake Colwell, Alex Cucu, Alex Birsan and Nate Dusek also set a new meet record. Freshman Blake Colwell was also a double winner in the 200 IM and 100 Back along with being a member of the winning 200 Free and 200 IM relays. Joining Blake and Alex on the relays were Nate Dusek and Alex Birsan. All four swimmers were named first team All-Conference. On the day the Invader Swimmers had 48 personal best times. Way to go Invaders. What a day!!!!
