On Saturday, the Normandy Girls Wrestling Team continued to build on their strong season. The team boarded a bus at 5:00am to travel out west to Gibsonburg to compete in the “Hammer Invitational”. After a tough day of competing, the team finished the day in 2nd place out of 27 teams bringing home some hardware. Individually, the girls finished with six total placers. Four of whom made the podium.

Their placers were:

Delfina Castriote – 2nd place

Brooke Yontosh – 2nd place

Brooklyn Madal – 4th place

Tamrah Szucs – 4th place

Isabella Bonelli – 6th place

Juliana Campos – 6th place

The next time you can catch the Normandy girls in action is this upcoming Thursday. They will compete at Normandy High School for “Senior Night” against Strongsville and another team that is yet to be determined.
